Dangote Group pledges to provide medical, other care for BBNaija Phyna’s sister, Ruth, as in company policy

Dangote Group has pledged, as in company policy, to foot the medical bill of, and pay compensate to, the sister of BBNaija Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor, whose legs were amputated after a company truck knocked her down in Auchi in Edo.
The Group made the disclosure on X amid public outrage after the BBNaija Season 7 winner took to social media to demand justice for her sister, whose two legs were amputated due to the severity of the accident.
Other celebrities like actress Kate Henshaw and other Nollywoodians have joined Phyna to demand justice for Ruth in the last 24 hours.
Dangote Group pledged to offer full support, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation, in line with its policy, according to a statement issued after Dangote Cement and insurance team officials visited the victim and her family at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Edo.
“Following the recent road accident in Auchi, Edo State, involving one of our trucks, which sadly resulted in injury to Mrs. Ruth Otabor, senior officials from Dangote Cement Plc, together with our insurance team, promptly visited the scene, engaged with law enforcement authorities, and visited the victim and her family at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo State,” the statement explained.
“This action reflects our unwavering commitment to the well-being of those affected. We are ensuring full support for Mrs. Otabor, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation, in line with Dangote Group’s welfare policy.
“Our thoughts remain with Mrs. Ruth Otabor and her loved ones, and we wish her a full and speedy recovery,” it said.
There have been several accidents involving Dangote Group trucks on the roads.
