Apart from the speculations on the possible return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford, Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of snatching Chelsea midfielder, Nemanja Matic.
He will be the second signing by Jose Mourinho this summer after Benfica’s Victor Lindelof joined the fold earlier this month.
According to Score Media, the Serbian midfielder, Nemanja Matic is believed to be Mourinho’s top target, is expected to sign on with United within the next week for a reported price of £40 million ($51 million), according to ESPN FC’s Mark Ogden.
The transfer would also mark the second time Chelsea has sold the 28-year-old. The Blues offloaded Matic to Benfica in a move that cost the Portuguese side £21 million ($26.7 million) in 2011 before Chelsea opted to bring him back in three years later for a similar price.
In addition, Manchester United is also reportedly gunning for Real Madrid’s forward, Alvaro Moratawho Mourinho is eager to sign before the team travels to the United States on July 9 to begin pre-season training.
