Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has applauded the Flying Eagles following their comprehensive 3-0 win over Togo in the ongoing WAFU B U-20 Championship.
The Malian tactician, who was in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, to support Nigeria’s U-20 team against the Sparrowhawks, heaped praise on the side after the encounter.
Nigeria secured their place in the semi-finals of the tournament on Thursday following a decisive victory over their neighbours, Togo.

After a goalless first half, the defending champions applied intense pressure on their opponents and secured the win through a double from Abdumuiz Adeleke and a goal from substitute Abdoulaye Agbeloye.
Speaking about Abdu Maikaba’s men after the match, Chelle said he was impressed with how they turned the game around.
Analysing the match, he noted: “I was happy with what I saw in the second half. They played well, put a lot of pressure on Togo, won the ball high up the pitch, created several scoring chances, and converted them.”
Following the win, the Flying Eagles will now face Burkina Faso in their final group fixture on Sunday.
