Nigerian comedian and online streamer Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, better known as Carter Efe, has claimed he is yet to receive his N50 million prize after emerging as the winner of a recent celebrity boxing match.
He voiced his frustrations in a trending video shared on his verified social media handle.
Carter Efe defeated popular singer and songwriter Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, also known as Portable, in a celebrity boxing match on Friday to win the N50 million prize.
Reacting to his defeat, the controversial artist alleged that the influencer only won because the organisers scripted the bout to avoid paying the N23 billion staked by fans who had bet on his victory.
Portable said: “Carter Efe was throwing foul blows at me; the referee was not fair. Even if I had won the match, the money for everyone who bet on my victory would be 17 million in dollars. That’s 23 billion in Naira; who would pay that? Can the organisers pay?”
However, speaking in a new clip that has surfaced online, Carter called out the organisers over the delay in paying his prize money.
“Dem never give me my money oo. I never see N50 million ooo. I nearly die for that fight, I never see the N50 million. Make dem pay me the N50 oo,” he lamented.
