The APC governors, many analysts have said, are working with a predetermined position to ensure that Buhari’s prefered choice emerges as the flagbearer of the party.
The governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have narrowed the contest for the presidential ticket of the party to a three-horse race.
According to reporting by The Nation Newspaper, the new list now includes former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and ex-Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, who is believed to be the favourite of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that the APC governors initially proposed five aspirants including Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Rotimi Amaechi; Governor Kayode Fayemi and Governor Dave Umahi.

However, other aspirants, particularly Kayode Fayemi and Yahaya Bello, are kicking, saying that they are still in the race.
Bello, boasting of possessing the capacity to win overwhelmingly in the primary, said if the process is transparent and credible, he would win the day.
Speaking to newsmen Tuesday after he met behind closed doors with the President in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Bello said that the APC will retain power at the center only if the stakeholders play by the rules.
“Getting into the arena today, I will win overwhelmingly if the process is credible,” Bello said.
He said there was no need for him to be excluded in the primary, claiming that he represents the youths and the downtrodden.
Bello said that the APC governors of northern extraction did not consult him when they took the resolution that power should shift to the south, adding that the resolution was therefore not bidding on him.
He reiterated his opposition to the concept of the rotational presidency, which he said does not give room for the emergence of a competent individual to emerge.
