Deji via a tweet tendered an apology to Chichi for not being genuine about his relationship with her during the show

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality star, Deji Morafa better known as Deji, has gone on social media to tender a public apology to fellow reality star ex-lover, Chichi.
TheNiche earlier reported that Deji had during the third episode of the BBNaija reunion on Wednesday, said the reality show was a poverty alleviation scheme for Chichi, after she threatened to expose his awful acts.
Chichi during the show had said: “In SA [South Africa], most of you would notice that I wasn’t really giving him [Deji] my time until he was complaining. I have screenshots, I have evidence. I have receipts. If you want hard copy, I will give you, if you want soft copy, it’s available.”
She added: “I’m trying to keep my cool because if I start to expose you; you did so many nasty things that I don’t care about anymore.”
Responding, Deji who joined other housemates via Skype countered saying: “Try to do that, you will be the one that will be embarrassed. This platform is a poverty alleviation scheme for you.
“You need to be grateful. You depend on this sh*t. This sh*t is your hustle”

However, in what appeared to be a U-turn, Deji took to his Twitter handle to tender an apology to Chichi for not being genuine about his relationship with her during the show.
He wrote: “In the light of the recent episode of the reunion, I realized some of my shortcomings and I will start by tendering my heartfelt apology to Chichi.
“I acknowledge that I failed to clearly express my lack of interest in pursuing a serious relationship with you during the show and I take full responsibility for it. After the show, we made an effort to work things out but unfortunately, there was no chemistry between us to sustain a romantic relationship.
“In a nutshell, I’m sorry, my intention was never to disrespect you in any way.”
