Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has admitted that “comebacks” are part of Real Madrid’s history, but insists his team does not fear the La Liga giants.
The Spanish tactician made this known while talking to reporters ahead of the second leg of Gunners’ Champions League quarter-final clash with Los Blancos.
Arsenal won the first leg of the encounter 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium last week.
However, since the heavy defeat in North London, the Madrid press have ramped up their optimism regarding the team’s ability to overturn the deficit and qualify for the semi-finals.

Addressing Real Madrid’s potential comeback during his press conference, Arteta said: “It’s part of their history and they’ve earned the right to talk about these scenarios.
“Our mindset is different in how we have the best chance to be better than them.”
When asked if his team is afraid of Madrid’s history and aura in the competition, Arteta replied: “Fear? I wouldn’t use that word.
“Respect, admiration for what they’ve done in the competition as a club over the years.
“The history that they have and the values that they defend. Unbelievable, amazing. An inspiration to any coach or manager.”
