Arsenal went ahead once again after they were gifted the lead after Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris fumbled badly to allow Gabriel Jesus to score in the 49th minute.

Spurs’ day went from bad to worse by Royal’s reckless challenge on Martinelli that prompted referee Anthony Taylor to produce a straight red card.

The Gunners made the game safe when Granit Xhaka ended the contest with a low finish past Lloris from inside the area in the 70th minute to make it an emphatic 3-1 home win.
