North London club Arsenal defeated already relegated Burnley 1-0 on Monday night at the Emirates Stadium to move closer to their first English Premier League (EPL) trophy in over two decades.
The only goal of the encounter came in the 37th minute when Kai Havertz headed home a well-taken corner kick by Bukayo Saka.
The visitors rarely threatened the Gunners’ goal throughout the game as David Raya extended his clean sheet tally in the league to 19 games.
With the narrow victory, Mikel Arteta and his men have now garnered 82 points after 37 games and will win the league as early as Tuesday night if Man City fail to beat in-form Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Meanwhile, Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard, while addressing the crowd at the stadium during his post-match speech, promised that he and his teammates will give their all to win trophies this season.
He also said the fans have been amazing, urging them to continue backing the team as they strive to achieve the feat.
“It’s been an amazing season so far. We have one big one left here and then the Champions League final. We want to take the trophies home. Just a little bit to go now and we are going to give it our all. We have to keep going,” Ødegaard said.
He added, “I can promise you all that we give everything we have every single day, and we are going to keep going until the very end. With your support, we are going to be ready.
“The fans have been amazing, especially these last two home games, arriving at the stadium and seeing everything outside. The atmosphere inside here is amazing. Let’s get ready for the last two.”
