Aiyedatiwa confirms 32 permanent secretaries, names Omotayo Akeju among appointees

Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the Ondo State Civil Service, in a move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and continuity in governance.
The approval, which takes effect from February 1, 2026, was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
Among those confirmed as Permanent Secretaries is Omotayo Akeju, alongside Mrs Tayo Ogundare; Mrs Morayo M. Bayo-Philip; Adeyemi Sule; Mrs Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi; Olanrewaju Abiodun; Tope Lebile, mni; Stephen R. Aworere; and Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade; Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi; Bamidele Daisi; Engr. Akinluyi Omotola; Olumide Kinga; Mrs Ope Adetoye; Olusiji Olatunji; Mrs Oluseyi Odusola; Mrs Funke Adelayi; and Dr Akindele Ige.
Others are Olanrewaju Akarakiri; Dr (Mrs) Abike Ilawole; Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo; Kolawole B. Kayode; Dr Peter Akingbade; Ayodeji Ogudare; Adeduro Niyi Akinbola; Engr. Ibidapo Ojo; Olusegun Orisabinone; Surv. Idowu A. Owolabi; Adeoye O. Atibioke; Mrs Toyin O. Awotoye; and Ayodeji Ayeku.
In addition, the Governor approved the confirmation of Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General of the state.
Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape was also confirmed as Auditor-General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
According to the statement, the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed and confirmed officers will hold at a date to be announced later.
The appointments are expected to further consolidate the administration’s efforts at repositioning the state’s civil service for effective service delivery.
