Barcelona’s new acquisition and German international Karim Adeyemi has offered his take on the debate over who is the better player between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He waded into the age-old debate while speaking in an interview with Mundo Deportivo after signing for the Catalan giants.
Adeyemi recently moved from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund to Spanish side Barcelona for a reported fee of €29 million ($33 million) on a five-year deal.

Asked who among the players he has played against was the best, the 24-year-old forward named Portugal captain Ronaldo, labelling him one of the top players in history.
He noted: “He wasn’t at his best in one game, but I once played against Ronaldo, who is one of the top players in history.”
However, when asked if his new club’s legend Messi is the best player in history, Adeyemi simply replied: “Absolutely.”
