Adeyanju accuses Datti Baba-Ahmed of hypocrisy for sending his son to a UK university despite owning Baze University in Nigeria

Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has criticised the founder of Baze University, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, for sending his son to be educated in the United Kingdom despite running “one of the most expensive universities in Nigeria.”

Adeyanju graduated from Baze University in 2022 with a first-class degree in Law.

Reacting to a photo of Datti Baba-Ahmed with his son dressed in a graduation gown at Queen Mary University in the UK, Adeyanju says they (Datti) talk about a new Nigeria that they don’t believe in.

He queried why Datti would have an extremely expensive and good private school but prefer sending his son to the United Kingdom to pursue education.

He said: “A New Nigeria is possible, took his kid to the UK for education when he had an extremely expensive and good private university. They don’t believe in Nigeria, but they have their audience.”

Baze University’s school fees range between N2.7 million and N4.5 million per session, depending on the course of study.
