Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, on Tuesday reacted to allegations that she is living with HIV by sharing the results of her latest screening.
The post which was shared on her official Instagram account revealed that it was a negative test result.
It all started years ago when a content creator, Olaoluwa Segun, shared a video in which he claimed Dayo Amusa is one of the five Nigerian actors living with HIV.
After the video made the rounds, the actress debunked the claim, saying the allegation wasn’t only false but malicious.
She also pointed out that in 2019, she shared her HIV-negative test result as part of a campaign to raise awareness.

She added that the post was about encouraging people to know their status, not to signal that she was affected.
Amusa also threatened legal action against the content creator for spreading unverified information about her.
However, after claims that she is HIV positive persisted, she shared a new test result on Tuesday, which confirmed that she is not infected with the virus.
She also encouraged her fans and other Nigerians to make HIV testing part of their health routine.
Captioning the latest result, Amusa wrote, “I still feel the need to encourage individuals to get tested and know their HIV status. It is better to know your status so that you can guide yourself and save others too.”
