Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has called on social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, to account for a donation of more than N200 million reportedly given to him for a school project by ace singer Burna Boy.
The controversial artist threw down the challenge to the internet personality in a video he released online on Thursday, 22 October 2026.
The controversy surrounding the saga unfolded in October 2026 after VDM unveiled a N250 million school and clinic project in Rivers State, funded by Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy.
As part of the project, VDM showcased large graffiti murals on the school walls—reportedly costing N50 million—featuring his own face and Burna Boy’s face to inspire the children.
However, the artwork faced intense online criticism for not accurately resembling the singer. Joining the backlash, Portable released a viral video slamming the activist.
“Burna Boy give you money, wetin you use am do? NGO money, where the money dey?” he asked.

Portable went on to query VeryDarkMan for painting portraits of former Togolese football star Emmanuel Adebayor on the walls of the building instead of that of Burna Boy, who he said provided the money alone.
He further questioned why the human rights advocate painted his own portrait on the wall of the school when the money for the project came from someone else.
While alleging that the money given to VeryDarkMan was over N200 million, he argued that the influencer fraudulently converted the money for personal use.
He also claimed that instead of building a school as promised, he built what looks like a brothel instead.
“You are fighting for your pocket. Burna Boy give you N200 million plus, make you build school, you go build Ashewo house,” he said.
