Gospel singer Victoria Orenze scolds worshippers who film her during ministration

Nigerian gospel singer and worship leader, Victoria Orenze, has criticised worshippers who record videos with their mobile phones during ministration, urging them to focus on worshipping God rather than capturing the moment.
The singer expressed her displeasure in a video circulating online, where she was seen addressing members of a congregation who were recording her during a worship session.
Orenze warned those recording to put away their phones, stressing that their attention should be on having a personal encounter with God rather than making videos.
“Don’t use your phone, I will send you far away from here. You don’t know how to respect God. Everything is about recording, yet you have nothing inside,” she said.
She further questioned the habit of recording spiritual gatherings, urging worshippers to concentrate on the experience instead of documenting it on their devices.
The gospel singer also referenced biblical accounts of Blind Bartimaeus and the woman with the issue of blood, explaining that their encounters with Jesus were driven by their desire for spiritual intervention rather than recording the moment.
