Arsenal, with the narrow victory, closed the gap on leaders Man City, who remain top on goal difference ahead of their clash against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Arsenal marked their return to Premier League action after the three-week international break with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Neither team made much of an impression in a goalless first half of an eagerly anticipated early kick-off.
The Gunners, however, produced an excellent second-half fightback to get their title charge back on track following a 3-0 loss to Brighton in week four.
Terrifically organised in defence and brave in attack, Leeds were fully deserving of their opener when it arrived 10 minutes after half-time.

James Justin sent the travelling supporters into raptures—in an away fixture where they have not celebrated a league victory since May 2003—when he slammed home from Gabriel Gudmundsson’s pull-back.
Arsenal responded seven minutes later when Italian left-back Riccardo Calafiori converted from close range after being teed up by Ben White.
Determined to win the match, Mikel Arteta made an immediate triple substitution, which included the introduction of £75m summer signing Bruno Guimaraes, transforming the atmosphere inside the North London stadium.
Guimaraes completed the comeback in the 70th minute with an assured finish from the edge of the penalty area, rounding off a wonderful, free-flowing move by the home side.
