Group commends Tinubu’s economic reforms, endorses him for 2027

The Labour for Good Governance, Ondo State, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 presidential election, declaring its support for the administration’s economic and security initiatives.
The group, comprising 24 affiliate organisations with over 10,000 members across the 18 local government areas of the state, announced its position at its general meeting held on June 5, 2026.
In a letter of endorsement addressed to President Tinubu and conveyed through the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Director-General of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG), Akure, the group said its decision was unanimous.
Signed by its President, Comrade Solomon Adelegan, and General Secretary, Comrade Sunkanmi Olubadejo, the organisation said the endorsement was based on what it described as the President’s commitment to revamping the nation’s economy.
According to the group, the administration’s efforts to tackle insecurity, particularly through the establishment of additional formations for the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force, have demonstrated a renewed commitment to strengthening the country’s security architecture.
It also commended the administration’s economic policies, saying the economy was gradually taking shape under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The group specifically cited the administration’s focus on agricultural development, including what it described as the Renewed Hope Agenda’s rice revolution, as part of efforts to strengthen food production and improve economic opportunities for Nigerians.
Labour for Good Governance further praised the Federal Government for initiatives it said had impacted various sectors of the economy, including interventions for pensioners, students and the increase in federal allocations to state and local governments.
The organisation expressed optimism that the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration would yield greater results if given more time, urging Nigerians to sustain support for the President’s reform agenda.
While congratulating Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election, the group assured the President of its continued support and described his re-election as necessary for the consolidation of the gains it attributed to his administration.
