Haaland, usually at his most prolific in August, missed a host of chances for City when they beat Bournemouth in their first league game of the new season.

Spanish tactician Pep Guardiola, Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, and former Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic have all expressed shock after seeing Erling Haaland’s new haircut.
On Sunday, the Norwegian forward donned a new haircut as the Citizens came from behind to defeat Bournemouth 2–1 in their first Premier League game of the season.
The Cherries took a first-half lead through Marcus Tavernier, who was left with loads of space to slam the ball in after Evanilson’s incisive low cross across the area.
However, Marc Guéhi, playing in defensive midfield for only the third time in his career, nodded in Rayan Cherki’s corner with six minutes to go to make it 1–1.
And it got even worse for Bournemouth when Joško Gvardiol guided a shot into the bottom corner in injury time.

After the encounter, Haaland, who opted to cut the long hair he had worn for a long time, made video calls to his manager Guardiola, his teammate Grealish, and Ibrahimovic.
However, before putting a call through to Ibrahimovic, Haaland recalled that the Swede had warned him against cutting his hair.
Reacting to his new look during the call, the former Manchester United attacker said, “What did you do? Did you lose a bet or what? Block me and erase my number.”
Similarly, Haaland’s manager Guardiola, whilst teasing him about cutting his hair, said, “No way. You are lucky you have hair. I’d love to have it. I love it.”
Also expressing disbelief, Grealish noted, “You look about 10 years old. That’s hilarious.”
