The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, are making plans to relocate from the United States to the United Kingdom after six years in exile.

According to the BBC, they will return later this month to a private, non-royal residence outside London.

The duo left the UK and stepped back from their royal duties in early 2020, later settling in California in March of the same year.

However, it has now been reported that the British prince and his wife are returning, and their children—Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five—have been enrolled to start at a British school in September.

While King Charles was informed of the move on Sunday, there are no current plans for either Prince Harry or Meghan to resume their roles as working royals.

Earlier in July, the Sussexes and their children visited the King at his Highgrove home, but it is understood the move was not discussed.

It is also understood that the British monarch was unaware of their return until last weekend, but he welcomes the opportunity to see more of the Sussex family in a private and personal capacity.

Apart from the King, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Catherine, have also been informed of their plans.

Family relations have been strained since, with July’s visit to the King and Queen Camilla marking a key development in their relationship.
