Nollywood stars have rallied support for their colleague, Taiwo Hassan, better known as Ogogo, following emotional appeals by his daughters for medical assistance as he battles stage-four cancer.
Speaking via his X handle on Monday, fellow thespian and filmmaker Femi Adebayo urged members of the public to heed the plea of the veteran actor’s children by recommending medical professionals and facilities capable of handling his case.
He also clarified that Ogogo’s family was not seeking financial help, but urgently needed medical direction that would alleviate their father’s suffering.
Taking to his verified handle, Adebayo wrote, “Please let’s rally around our beloved Sir Taiwo Hassan, who is currently facing a serious health challenge, battling cancer.”
He added, “As shared by his family, they are NOT looking for money or financial support. What they urgently need is medical direction.”
The ace actor further called for recommendations for standard hospitals, specialists, and advanced treatment centres anywhere in the world that could review the actor’s medical files and provide treatment options.
”If you know someone who knows someone in the oncology space, or a medical avenue that can assist, please help reach out to his family immediately,” he appealed.

Earlier, Hassan’s daughters, Lima and Shaki Taiwo, asked Nigerians to come to their ailing father’s aid via separate emotional appeals on Instagram.
In a video shared via her verified account on Monday, Shaki wrote, “My daddy doesn’t want to die. Please, I don’t want my daddy to die. He’s in pain. He’s not happy.”
She also expressed appreciation to Sen. Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, who she said had been covering the actor’s medical bills during treatment and supporting the family financially.
Joining her sister in a separate Instagram post, Ogogo’s second daughter, Haleemah, noted that the family only found out about his diagnosis three weeks ago.
