The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the Osun State election, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has cast his vote at his polling unit in Ikire.
He performed his civic duty at Ward 09, Unit 11, Gantry, Ikire, amid victory chants from enthusiastic supporters who gathered at the polling centre.
Oyebamiji, a former Commissioner for Finance and later Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in the state, was received by party supporters and residents who cheered and chanted his name upon his arrival.
After casting his vote, the APC candidate briefly interacted with supporters and party agents at the polling centre before departing.
Meanwhile, several voters at the venue described the process as peaceful and hitch-free, expressing confidence that their votes would count.

Younger voters were seen queuing orderly to exercise their franchise, while elderly voters were permitted to sit and given priority to cast their ballots.
Oyebamiji is seeking to wrest power from the incumbent Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who is also seeking a fresh mandate on the platform of the Accord Party.
A total of 15 political parties are on the ballot; however, two candidates—Adesina Adeyemi-Doro of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Simon Adewale of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM)—had previously announced their withdrawal from the race.
While Adeyemi-Doro endorsed Oyebamiji, Adewale declared his support for Adeleke. Nevertheless, both APGA and APM remain on the ballot.
