Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo, also known as CR7, has finally married his long-time fiancée, model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez.
This was disclosed by the 41-year-old winger on his Instagram account on Tuesday, after posting a photograph showing two hands – presumed to be his on top of his wife’s – both wearing wedding rings.
According to reports obtained by TheNiche, the couple tied the knot in an ‘intimate ceremony’ in Portugal.
Calling it the wedding of the year, Portuguese media reported that the couple walked down the aisle on 11 August in the coastal town of Cascais, near Lisbon – and that their five children attended.

Meanwhile, within 30 minutes of Ronaldo sharing the post on Instagram, it had already gathered more than 3 million likes.
Rodríguez, 32, announced their engagement last year, sharing a picture of her ring on social media with a caption that translated as: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

CR7 has scored nearly 1,000 goals in a career featuring stints at Lisbon-based Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, and the Portuguese national team.
He recently played in his sixth World Cup, a record number of appearances in the men’s finals that he shares with Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
