Guimarães recently requested the postponement of his resumption at La Manga for Newcastle’s pre-season training camp following his participation with Brazil at the World Cup.

English Premier League (EPL) champions Arsenal have reached an agreement with Newcastle United to sign Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães for a reported fee of €90 million (£77 million).
According to French daily sports newspaper L’Équipe, the deal was finally sealed following several weeks of back and forth between both English clubs.
The Gunners previously had offers of £55 million and £70 million turned down by the Magpies for the 27-year-old Brazil international.
Guimarães also expressed his desire to join Arsenal this summer and has already reached an agreement on personal terms with Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, in the latest report from the media outlet, Arsenal have now settled on an initial transfer fee of €90 million (£77 million) with Newcastle, and both clubs are currently discussing bonuses and agent fees.

It further indicated that a full agreement between Newcastle and Arsenal is anticipated “in the coming days”.
Additionally, Guimarães’ former club, Lyon, is expected to receive a payment exceeding €8 million (£6.8 million) due to the 20 per cent sell-on clause included in their deal with Newcastle.
In the meantime, talkSPORT reported on Friday that Guimarães, who was expected to resume training with Newcastle on Monday after his participation with Brazil in the World Cup this summer, has requested more time.
He wants his travel to La Manga for a pre-season training camp to be postponed, implying that his transfer to Arsenal may be finalised over the weekend.
Guimarães’ motivation to change clubs is believed to be reinforced by his desire to compete in the UEFA Champions League and Eddie Howe’s departure as manager of the club on Thursday.
