Reacting to the victory after the game, Neymar thanked the Brazilian fans, his family, and his friends.

“No doubt, I rate this as one of the most special days of my career. It’s every boy’s dream to play for the Seleção, and I’ve been given this chance,” Neymar said, as quoted by FIFA’s website.

He added: “I’ve been away for many days now; I missed it and was eager to get back. I felt a big relief today. I got a bit emotional and cried alone afterwards, because it feels so good to live all of this one more time.

“I thank every Brazilian fan who rooted for me, especially my family and my friends.”
