Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has revealed that his former girlfriend was “quite manipulative”, explaining that he ended the relationship to avoid pressure.

The singer lamented that the tranquility he desired after returning from a hectic day at work eluded him because he had to deal with additional stress from his ex-lover.
He added that he had to walk away when he could no longer tolerate her excesses.
Speaking on the show, Rema said: “My romantic relationship was beautiful but a little quite manipulative. So much pressure. Knowing the world puts so much pressure on me, coming back home is where you want to feel relieved. But when you come back home and you are getting more pressure, it’s a different story. For now, I’m done.”
