FHA directs 6th Avenue Festac Town allottees to provide documents for validation of land ownership

The Federal Housing Authority has issued a notice to allottees of FHA land in 6th Avenue, Festac Town, Lagos, requiring them to visit the FHA Zonal Office for identification, revalidation, and establishment of plot beacons.

This exercise aims to revalidate ownership of plots and prepare for re-allocation to rightful owners.

Required documents needed for the verification include; genuine letter of Allocation, which is the original letter issued by FHA as proof of allocation.

Also needed is the evidence of Payments, which are the documents showing proof of payment for the allocated land.

A valid means of Identification such as a valid ID to confirm the allottee’s identity is also required.

In a statement signed by Chairman of 6th Avenue, Festac Town, Lagos. Mr Vitus Okwara and Secretary, it noted further that the exercise is aimed at revalidating the ownership of plots and preparing for re-allocation to the rightful owners.

“It is essential for all allottees to participate in this process, regardless of the year the allocation was given.” It noted.

This development comes amid ongoing efforts by the FHA to restore Festac Town and other estates under its management.

The statement noted further that the authority has been working to rehabilitate the area, including reconstructing roads and installing solar-powered street lights to enhance security
