Afrobeats singer, Crown Uzama, better known as Shallipopi, set tongues wagging on Thursday, August 27, after a series of playful interactions with fans on X turned into generous cash giveaways totalling ₦2 million.
It all started when the singer tweeted, “Hi guys, I’m online again,” prompting fans to flood the comment section with humorous and bold requests
A netizen identified as Ademola with X handle @flowzki wrote, “send money for lunch,” to which Shallipopi replied, “Depends on what you wanna eat.”
The fan then responded jokingly, “granola with milk and shiiii. just do whatever my presido.”
To his surprise, the ‘Benin Boy’ crooner credited him with N1 million and shared a screenshot of the transaction with the caption, “1 plate ? aboy”
Reacting, Ademola wrote, “YOOOOOOOOO!!! only one shalli baby !! it was just 7 days after my birthday !!! this is more than enough birthday gift GOD a BLESS YOU FOREVER !!!!”
Another X user, Uzoya identified as @Uz_Graphics, who had earlier tweeted a screenshot of a bank balance showing -₦7.71 and pleaded for a “miracle,” also received ₦1,000,000 from the artist.
After sending the money, Shallipopi once again posted proof of payment and wrote, “Hahaha my gee, check again, I don put small thing for u ?.”
Reacting to the gesture in the comment section, a netizen identified as @Web3Doktor averred wrote, “Out of the main 9 planets we use to know. Pluto was the last but my bro for this one weh you do. you no go ever see Last for your life. you too much.”
Another Internet user, @Belbeljum said, “You no dey give woman money?”
@meenX13 added, “This luck thing Ehn, It just usually feels like celebs only send to people in their cliques. Maybe it’s just me feeling defeated something like this could light me up sha. But I’m the meantime make I jam Laho small.”
