Charly Boy reacts to Yul Edochie’s call for South Eastern President, says ‘You don dey change lane’

Charly Boy also expressed delight that his colleague has decided to back his kinsman after supporting a South Westerner in 2013

Veteran singer and actor, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has expressed surprise at Yul Edochie’s advocacy for the South East to produce the next president.

He reacted to the thespian’s assertion in a recent post he shared on his verified X page.

Yul Edochie, while sharing his thoughts  on his Instagram handle on Monday, July 21, said the South-East should produce Nigeria’s next President.

The controversial actor added that the region should be supported to produce the country’s next leader for the sake of “fairness and equity”.

Speaking via a video shared on his social media handle, Edochie said, “The next President of Nigeria should come from the South-East in fairness and equity. That’s just the truth and that’s how it should be.”

Prior to this development, the Nollywood actor backed and campaigned for the incumbent President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is from the South Western part of the country.

Reacting after Edochie made a U-turn, Charly Boy expressed delight that his colleague is now backing his kinsman.

He wrote, “Yul Edochie finally see’s the light.

*Thank God you don dey change lane.”
