To kick-off Anambra State governorship election campaign on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA) has pegged campaign mandatory permit fee for each political party at N50 million.

At the press briefing held at the agency’s headquarters in Awka, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Tony Ujubuonu, stated that the campaign permit allows political parties the right to deploy their campaign materials and activities; using posters, public address systems, branded vehicles, banners, fliers, T-shirts, caps, rallies among others across the cities, villages and communities in the 21 local government areas of the state.

He also explained that all campaign materials intended for outdoor display by political parties and candidates, advertising agencies and advertising practitioners are expected to have been vetted by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, before being posted.

Ujubuonu called on all the political parties, their supporters and the general public to always put other users of the advertising and visual promotion space in the state, into consideration. He appealed them to refrain from defacing the campaign materials of opponents as such actions are unacceptable and also goes contrary to the principles of fair democratic engagement.
