Russia had in February 2022, issued arrest warrants for a number of Ukrainian and other European politicians

The Russian Federation has declared the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy wanted.
According to the state news agency, TASS, the Russian Interior Ministry’s database showed that the powerful European country has Zelenskiy on its wanted list but gave no further details.
It was also revealed that Russia had opened a criminal investigation against the Ukrainian president.
However, while responding to the report, Ukraine dismissed it, saying the Russian announcement was “evidence of the desperation of the Russian state machine and propaganda, which can think of no other way to attract attention”.
Speaking via a statement,
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry further noted that Russian President, Vladimir Putin is currently subject to arrest under an International Criminal Court warrant.
“We would like to remind you that unlike the worthless Russian announcements, an International Criminal Court warrant for the arrest of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on suspicion of war crimes is quite real, and subject to implementation in 123 countries.” the statement read.
Prior to this development, Russia had in February 2022, issued arrest warrants for a number of Ukrainian and other European politicians.
The Russian police listed Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Lithuania’s culture minister and members of the previous Latvian parliament on a wanted list for destroying Soviet-era monuments.
