Singer, Adekunle Gold slams Chelsea after signing Caicedo

Adekunle Gold chastised the Blues while reacting to a United fan who claimed Chelsea are ruining football

Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Adekunle Kosoko, aka Adekunle Gold, has condemned the outrageous amounts West London club, Chelsea are lavishing on new players this transfer window, claiming they “ruined the market this season”. 

TheNiche reported that the Blues signed Moises Caicedo from Brighton on a British-record transfer fee of €116m (£100m), which is likely to rise to €133m (£115m) via achievable add-ons.

This means the Premier League club have now spent €323 million on transfers so far during the 2023 summer window.

Reacting to the development on Tuesday, after a fan of Manchester United, said Chelsea are ruining the sport with their extravagant spending. Adekunle Gold took to his Twitter handle to slam the move.  

Speaking via his social media page, he tweeted; “Man! Chelsea ruined the market this season! Where una see money?”

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer and music producer,  Phillip Kayode Moses, popularly known as Pheelz, has reacted to Chelsea’s decision to use his hit song ‘Finesse’ to announce their latest signing, Moises Caicedo.

The Premier League giants on Monday, completed the signing of the Ecuadorian from Brighton, eclipsing Arsenal’s deal for Declan Rice, as the new British record for a deal between two English clubs.

Chelsea, after completing the deal, took to their official Twitter handle to share a video of the 21-year-old midfielder and his mother having a beautiful moment with ‘Finesse’ by Pheelz featuring BNXN playing in the background.

Reacting to the now-viral video via his Twitter handle, Pheelz said he was elated that the West London outfit rated his song. 

He tweeted: “Not @ChelseaFC using my song to announce the most expensive signing in the EPL right now! Burst my head.”
