Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen has told England captain, Harry Kane not to join Bayern Munich after he reached an agreement with the Bundesliga champions.
He gave the advice on his Twitter handle, where he suggested that Tottenham Hotspurs striker should consider joining Real Madrid or any top two Premier League clubs instead.
Owen went on to admit that Bayern are a “massive club” but added that it wouldn’t be a great achievement to win the league in a country dominated by one club.
Speaking via his social media page the England legend tweeted: “I know @FCBayern are a massive club and I have huge respect for them but if I were @HKane I’d stay put. There’s no great achievement in winning a trophy with them.
“@realmadrid I would understand. Or one or two top @premierleague clubs for that matter.
“Becoming the all time Premier League top goal scorer @SpursOfficial is a bigger achievement than winning the league in a country dominated by 1 team.”
