Joke Silva celebrates hubby, Olu Jacobs at 81

Ace Nollywood actress and movie director, Joke Silva has taken to social media to hail her husband and veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, who turned 81 today, July 11. 

The renowned thespian seized the opportunity to share a photograph of her husband and penned a lovely birthday note to him on her official Instagram page.

In the now-viral post, Joke Silva expressed gratitude to God and extended warm wishes to the highly revered actor.

She went on to label him “Showboy” and noted that some of his fans have been celebrating his birthday since May. 

She, however, corrected the erroneous impression, saying he was born in July. 

Taking to her social media page, she wrote:“🎶Showboy🎶….Happy birthday dearest as you add plus 1 @olujacobs. God is good…always. Sir Js fans have been celebrating his birthday since May ☺️ Note …today is the official day 11th July,”

After Joke Silva’s post made the rounds online, many Nigerian celebrities and fans of her hubby trooped to their social media pages to greet him. 

Many of those who commented prayed for him and eulogised him for gracing their TV screens with his unique talent. 

Actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, wrote “Happy birthday pathfinder. My knees are on the ground. Because you are, I’m” 

Another Nollywood thespian, Femi Adebayo said: “Happy birthday Daddy. LLNP” 

An IG user identified as tsn740 added: “Happy birthday sir. Wishing you more years ahead filled with God’s strength” 

Another internet user @kennyluv3 also said: “Happy Birthday daddy J we love you immensely God will continue to be with you and restore back your health” 

While @funkepdl wrote: “Happy blessed birthday sir, may you continue to grow gracefully in Jesus name. Amen”
