Ace Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid has admitted he blocked some fans, friends and family from reaching him on his mobile phone.
The Grammy Awards winner, also confirmed that he is still using the number he had while he was still a relatively unknown singer.
Wizkid made this known, while speaking during a recent interview, according to the ‘Bad To Me’ crooner, he still owns the same phone number he had eight years ago.

The singer, who said his current phone number is the number he had during the Ojuelegba days, however, confirmed blocked many people from accessing him because of their nuisance value.
“If I’ve got the same number for 8 years, believe me, I’ve done a lot of blocking on my phone not a lot of people have my number as well that is why I can keep it,” Wizkid said.
After the interview found its way to the internet, netizens trooped to his comment section, with most of those who commented backing the singer’s decision to retain his old phone number and block some people.
An IG user identified as sweetjlo24 wrote, “Oh pls I’m still using my number since 2003 till date.”
Another netizen, Teeflowz said, “So e suppose Dey change number every seconds?” Sic
Olamidesaint added, “But seriously, if you’re good at blocking, then you can use one number forever I don’t see a reason changing numbers just block and again block smart guy.”
While Finbar_papilo also wrote, “But why are u not always pick my calls na ..since is still that same number I have?”
