The Dutch gaffer told the pair they will find playing time hard to come by at Old Trafford, and urged them to find themselves new clubs during this summer transfer window.

According to Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag already has an idea of what his squad will look like next season and the two Englishmen are not part of his plans.

Wan-Bissaka lost his place shortly after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked with Dolot being preferred by the then interim manager, Ralf Rangnick.

The new manager, Ten Hag is reported to share Rangnick’s view that the Portuguese right full back, Dolot, possesses more ‘modern’ full-back qualities.

Though Wan-Bissaka, who was purchased from Crystal Palace in 2020 is seen as a solid defender, he is believed to lack the necessary initiative to join the attack like a modern fullback.

The Manchester news outlet also revealed that the Dutchman manager has informed Wan-Bissaka that he’s “surplus to requirements.”

Wan-Bissaka’s former club, Crystal Palace have shown interest in resigning the England player but any move would likely be a loan deal with an option to buy.

Erik ten Hag has also told Old Trafford academy graduate Williams to find a new club.

The left-back spent last season at Norwich City on loan and impressed despite the Canaries’ relegation to the Championship.

Williams captained United throughout the youth level, but Alex Telles was signed in 2020 to provide back-up to Luke Shaw, pushing the Englishman further to the fringes.
