Arsenal line up whopping £86m to sign Osimhen

Arsenal are desperate to sign a striker after losing Per Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to Barcelona and Olympic Lyon respectively.

Premier League club, Arsenal are ready to pay as much as £86m to secure the services of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen from Serie A club, Napoli this summer.

According to Gazzetta.it, the Gunners are willing to meet the Italian outfit’s asking price for the 23-year-old forward.

The North London club are desperate to sign a striker after losing Per Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona in January and Alexandre Lacazette, to Olympic Lyon on a free transfer.

The club see Osimhen as the ideal replacement for the two strikers, especially with Edward Nketiah’s future at the emirate still hanging in the balance. 

The Nigerian international is in high demand this summer with two other Premier League sides,  Manchester United and Newcastle United also willing to sign him.

The striker has scored 24 goals in 51 league appearances for Napoli since arriving from Ligue 1, Lille two years ago.

Although Napoli wants to retain the striker whom they paid £60m to sign in 2020 from Lille, several sources have reported that they might be willing to allow him to leave for the right price.
