Bimbo Akintola decided to share a gorgeous throwback picture of herself rather than the usual photo shoot on her birthday

Ace Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola turned 52 on Thursday, May 5, and marked her special day in an unusual manner, as she thanked God for the privilege to see the day.
The common practice is for celebrities to organise an elaborate photo shoot to mark the occasion and share the same on various social media platforms with their numerous fans.
But rather than follow such a trend, the veteran thespian chose to share a gorgeous throwback picture on her Instagram page to celebrate this year’s birthday.

The picture showed the beautiful actress as a young girl wearing one of the traditional hairdos, as she wrote:
“We turn not older with the years, but newer every day’- Emily Dickinson. Thankful for His grace.”
Many of the actress’ followers later stormed her comment section to send her birthday wishes and compliment her picture, as some noted she has always been a beautiful woman.
Bimbo Akintola debuted in Nollywood when she featured in the film ‘Owo Blow’ in 1995 alongside Femi Adebayo.
She then followed it up with ‘Out of Bounds’ in 1997, stirring alongside Richard Mofe Damijo.
She was nominated as the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2013 Nollywood Movies Awards.
