Lacazette scored his first goal in 10 games when he fired in from the penalty spot to put Arsenal in firm control after 59 minutes

North London club Arsenal returned to the 4th position on the Premier League log table after a convincing 2-0 win over Leicester City at the Emirate Stadium.
Goals from Ghanian midfielder, Thomas Partey, and French striker, Alexandre Lacazette secured the in-form hosts their fifth win in a row.
They leapfrog Manchester United back into fourth place and are one point above The Red Devils, who have played 3 more games.
Partey opened the scoring in the 11th minute after heading in a corner kick from Gabriel Martinelli, as Arsenal profited from their dominant start.

The Ghanian was denied a second goal moments later when he struck the crossbar after his shot had already beaten Leicester goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel.
Aaron Ramsdale was twice called upon to deny Harvey Barnes – including a superb reaction save from a header – as the visitors threatened before half-time.
Arsenal were awarded a penalty by the referee when Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu was judged to have handled the ball in the penalty box, after a lengthy VAR review.
Lacazette then stepped forward to score the spot-kick in the 59th minute to put The Gunners in firm control of the match and they held on to win.
Arsenal last qualified for Champions League five years ago but their gaffer, Arteta after the win said a club of their stature should be playing in the elite European club competition.
“We have to be there; we should be there. Our history obliges us to be there but we are not there yet and there are still a lot of games to play.
“We have an excellent group of people at the club who believe in what we do. Then you have to put performance into results. The last few months, we have been more consistent.” he said.
