#EndSARSMemorial: Police orders Arise TV to pull down drone

-

The police are not leaving anything to chance in it’s desperate attempt to quell the #EndSARSMemorial protest.

Arise TV’ crew covering the protest were harassed by the police, and ordered to pull down their drones used for the live coverage of the protest.

A Twitter user posted: “Nigeria Police told Arise TV crew to stop flying their drone, they also threatened the crew and told them to leave the venue of the protest. Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu apologised to the crew and said they are allowed to fly their drone.”

Although the Lagos State police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu, later apologized to the crew after public outcry, other journalists and protesters are still being harassed and detained by the police.

The Twitter handle of Arise News later confirmed that Odumosu apologised to it’s harassed crew: “Lagos Police Chief Odumosu Apologises, Regrets Threats to ARISE News Crew.”
