The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has appointed Mrs Wemimo Oni as the assistant coach for the Falconets, the National U-20 female team.
A statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in Ilorin and signed by the Media Officer of the team, Elizabeth Kah, said that Oni hailed from Ondo State.
The statement said that Oni was part of the Falconets technical crew at the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in Germany and Team Manager of Sunshine Queens in 2012.
The statement said that Oni was the Chief Coach of Ondo State female team in 2013 and the Secretary General, Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Ondo State Chapter.
It said that Oni played in the Pelican Stars, Rivers Angels and Oladimeji Tigress before her invitation to the U-23 National team in 2010.
NAN also reports that her appointment brings the number of the team’s technical crew to four.
