World most influential singer, Beyonce Knowles, has released a song featuring top Nigerian artistes. She did on July 19.
The single, is the official theme song for the cartoon, lion king, a series shown on Disney Junior.
She collaborated with Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Tekno and Mr. Eazi.
Beyoncé is the executive producer of the cartoon’s theme song. Her choice of the Nigerian artistes is to project the Africaness in the cartoon whose location is in a jungle in Africa.
All the Nigerian artistes who featured in Beyoncé’s lion king theme song were all recipients of various international awards and nominations.
Beyoncé said she wants a song from different genres that express the message she wants to pass across.
“I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa,” she said.
