President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently leading in the two results from Ekiti and Osun which the Independent National Electoral Commission has released.
A breakdown of the two results so far released shows the APC candidate leading by 75,458 votes.
In Osun, Buhari polled 347,634 votes to lead his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, Atiku Abubakar got 337,377 votes.
In Ekiti, the president got 219,231 votes while Atiku polled 154,032 votes.
The Ekiti result is a far improvement of his performance in the 2015 election. In that election, he got 120,331 votes as against Goodluck Jonnathan of the PDP who polled 176,466 votes.
But the Osun result was a slight set back for Buhari. In the 2015 election, he was in a clear lead with 133,647 votes.
Buhari had in the election in Osun polled 383,603 votes while his rival, then Goodluck Jonathan got 249,929 votes.
