Justice Aneke commends law students attached to his court on internship, wishes them well

Honourable Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of Court 4, Federal High Court of Nigeria, Lagos Judicial Division has commended the law students attached to his court for their internship.
While hosting the 10 law students who completed their 5-week intensive practical work and experience in and outside the courtroom on Friday July 18, Justice Aneke held that the students were very punctual to the court, adding that he believed they were conscious of the reason for being in court on time.
He commended the students for their good performance while in his court.
“Before I enter the court, they are always there.
“In my view, they are conscious of being here. They worked assiduously as they are here.
“I wish all of them well”, the judge prayed.
Expressing their gratitude to His lordship, the law students described the experience they garnered while in and outside the courtroom as wonderful and very interesting.
The students through their group leader Justice Efe expressed that their stay in Court 4 was very fruitful and inspiring
They were very appreciative of the Judge, expressing that his address to them on the first day in court was inspiring.
Outlining what they learnt and will take back to law school, Efe said they imbibed the culture of being punctual to the court as instructed to them by judge.
They followed the practical example of the judge who comes to court before 8.30 am and starts sitting by exactly 9.00am.
They also expressed gratitude to the court Registrars and other staff of the court for their cooperation
Speaking further Efe said they learnt a lot of things such as filing motion, listened to argument canvassed by counsels, listing cases, documentations and a lot more which they learnt.
Also speaking, one of the female law students Kosisochukwu Nwezeh said they had wonderful stay in Court 4 with the judge and his staff.
” The judge looked after us, the Registrars accommodated us and even the lawyers assisted us in some areas”.
She said the experience she got is delightful. ” It has been enlightening. Before now I was not interested in practicing law, I was to do another thing after the law school but with the impression I have about practicing now, I will reconsider my earlier position “.
Speaking on their host Justice Aneke, Kosisochukwu described him as a very disciplined judge .
” He is a very good example to us, and good inspiration to me.”
” I learnt a lot in his court such as how to file processes, appearance of counsel, adjournment of cases, and so many other areas “, she said.
