Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has confessed to taking part in a staged miracle performed in a church, noting that he was paid to participate in a fake healing.
He made the startling revelations during an interview with Feel Right News TV, which made the rounds on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
According to Solade, he was yet to become a well-known figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry when he took part in the act.
He further recounted that his role was to pose as a physically disabled person who was later healed during a church service.
The thespian, who noted that he was still a student at the time, however, added that the money he earned from the act went towards buying alcoholic drinks.

He stopped short of identifying the church leaders involved, though he confirmed they are still alive.
Speaking during the chat, Solade said, “I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular, I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink then I was a student. The people involved are still alive; I don’t just want to mention names.”
His confession comes a week after he opened up on the reason he stopped attending church services over a decade ago.
Speaking during an interview on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask, the 66-year-old actor stated that he has not attended a church service in 13 years, arguing that confining worship to a single day limits his personal relationship with God.
Solade said, “God created me in His image. I stopped going to church 13 years ago because I was not finding it funny any longer, though I am a child of God.”
He added, “My life is not orchestrated towards a particular day. There is no Sunday in the Bible. Without God, I will not be alive.”
