WWLC appoints Nigeria’s Ekwubiri to lead Partnerships on IWD

World Women Leading Change (WWLC), the preeminent independent global organization dedicated to advancing women’s rights and empowerment, was established by Professor Ayla Aldjufrie of Indonesia. With an extensive presence spanning over 55 countries worldwide, WWLC remains committed to fostering gender equality and amplifying the voices of women from diverse backgrounds.

In a significant development, Dr. Ogenna Walter Ekwubiri, the esteemed founder of the Motivating African Youths Initiative, has been appointed to lead WWLC’s Partnership and Collaboration sector. Dr. Ekwubiri’s unwavering dedication to youth empowerment and community development has earned her widespread recognition and respect. Serving as her deputy is Zama Mbatho Awuzie, a distinguished advocate for women’s rights from South Africa, whose expertise and passion will undoubtedly enrich WWLC’s initiatives.

The announcement of these appointments was made during a landmark global conference convened in commemoration of International Women’s Day, presided over by HRH Princess Debbie Raphutti, the esteemed Global President of WWLC. This gathering underscored the organization’s commitment to celebrating women’s achievements and advancing their rights on a global scale.

Alongside her, Judith Mwila of Zambia assumes the mantle of WWLC Africa President, while Lesego Motshwane of South Africa is entrusted with the pivotal role of Global Youth President.
