Senegal on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, became the first African country to win a match at the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The West African country defeated Poland 2-1 in the Group H through Thiago Cionek’s 37th own goal followed by Niang’s strike in the 60th minute.
Poland pulled one back in the 87th minute.
