Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),  Nyesom Wike, has carpeted Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, after he berated the President Bola Tinubu-led government for hiking the cost of the country’s international passport.

TheNiche had earlier reported that Obi frowned at the decision of the Federal Government to increase 32-page passport with 5-year validity to N100,000, and that of 64-page passport with 10-year validity to N200,000.

Reacting to his post, Olayinka argued that the cost of the Nigerian international passport has never been lower than the minimum wage.

Speaking via his X page on Friday, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister wrote, “Was there any time in Nigeria that the cost of International Passport was lower than Minimum Wage?

“Is International Passport part of the cost of living anywhere in the world?”
