Adams Oshiomhole, former Edo State governor and current lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District, has clarified that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is not a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and is only supporting President Bola Tinubu.
The senator made the distinction on Tuesday while appearing as a guest on a programme on TVC.
His explanation stemmed from the feud between Wike and APC governors, which erupted after the minister described some of the governors as “politically lazy.”
According to Oshiomhole, although Wike has repeatedly expressed support for President Tinubu, he remains outside the ruling party.

Speaking during the interview, the former governor said, “Wike is supporting President Tinubu and not the APC. The position of some of the APC governors and that of the minister is unanimous: they are all committed to supporting the re-election of President Tinubu.”
He went on to say he is at peace with the situation despite their differences.
Oshiomhole added, “I am comfortable with the fact that the two sides are working for the same goal: supporting the President.
“I have not heard any side of the argument suggesting that anyone, including the FCT Minister, is opposed to President Tinubu’s re-election.
“He has said so himself repeatedly—that he is not an APC person; he is not a member of the APC, but he supports the President.”
