WGB/Lagos SWAN Cup 2016 kicks off

All is set for the commencement of this year’s Winners Golden Bet (WGB)/Lagos SWAN Cup, with group matches beginning on Monday, July 25 at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The first day will witness an opening game between Lagos SWAN veterans and Lagos Sports Commission team to be led by its Chairman, Deji Tinubu.
Sports Committee Chairman, Debo Oshundun said: “For this year’s event, we will be having a comprehensive medical check up for all members and the stadium community.
“This initiative was facilitated by Labake Coker and will be handled by Laba Care International Medical Mission, New Jersey, United States.”
WGB Representative, Femi Junaid, stressed that the company will continue to sponsor the competition as long as Lagos SWAN continues to partner with it.
In the draws for the competition, Complete Sports, Inspiration FM, Unilag FM, Galaxy TV and Brila FM are in Group A.
It will be a battle between two federal government media outfits, Voice of Nigeria (VON) and News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Group B against New Telegraph and Supersports
Defending champion, Sportsvision, New Fan Zone, debutant Goal.com Nigeria, Top Radio, and Silverbird TV are in Group C.
Cool FM, Lagos Television, NTA, and TV Continental will slug it out in Group D.
