The visitors have scored 7 goals from set-pieces in the Premier League before today’s game,  only Liverpool [8] have scored more.

Thiago Silva opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 29th minute when he headed home a corner kick from Mason Mount to make it 1-0 to The Blues.

Chelsea keeper, Edouard Mendy, thereafter charged Jarrod Bowen from the back inside the box to give West Ham a penalty kick.

There was enough time for another goal in the 44th minute, as Mason Mount volleys the ball into the back of the net with his right foot after an assist from Hakim Ziyech, to give Chelsea 2-1 lead again.

Jarrod Bowen made it 2-2 for West Ham in the 56th minute of the second half to restore parity once again, after a clever pass from Vladimir Coufal.

The home side closed the game in the 85th after Arthur Masuaku scored a freakish goal from an assist from Michail Antonio to end the game 3-2 in favour of West Ham.

Mendy, who has been brilliant for most of the afternoon, looked culpable with his positioning in the build-up to West Hams’ third goal.

Chelsea stays top for now until Man City and Liverpool play Watford and Wolverhampton respectively later. Meanwhile, West Ham have ensured they stay 4th no matter the outcome of other results.
